Milin Jayaraman, 16, of Foxboro, has been training at Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy in Foxboro for almost 3 years. Milin attends the Wheeler School, where he plays small forward on the basketball team. He initially arrived at Elite determined to get stronger, increase his endurance and conditioning, and improve his power and explosiveness. After years of training at Elite, Milin has seen his hard work and consistency pay off with excellent results!

Since he began training at Elite, Milin has seen a dramatic improvement in his quickness. He’s now much stronger on defense and while driving to the hoop. He also notes a more explosive first step and improvement in his top-end sprint speed. He tells us he keeps working hard “to get stronger and keep building on the strength and keep getting new PRs.” He also continues to train at Elite due to the supportive community atmosphere. Milin enjoys training with “like-minded athletes” at Elite where “everyone is there to get better.” He tells us that even though everyone at Elite is serious about their training, the coaches find ways to lighten up the mood and keep it fun –  from Coach Ben’s daily trivia questions to chatting about the most recent Celtics game with Coach Katie. He recommends Elite to all of his friends and teammates not only for the great atmosphere and community, but also for “tailoring your workout based on what your objective is and everyone pushes you to be the best version of yourself.”

Despite his love of basketball, Milin’s favorite athlete is Julian Edelman. He admires his “scrapiness and tenacity, always fighting after being a late pick.” We see the same work ethic in Milin! He also tells us that his role model is his dad due to his father’s positive outlook. Given that Milin is constantly smiling and being a positive influence on fellow athletes, we can see his dad’s influence!  He also tells us that his parents have always taught him to look for positives in life and he feels that this outlook has allowed him to stay focused and motivated.

Milin plans to study chemistry in college, while also continuing to train and play recreational basketball. He hopes to continue to be strong and live a healthy life while balancing academic stress in the years ahead. With his determination and commitment to his training, as well as his positive attitude, we know he has all the tools for great success in the future, both on and off the court. We’re excited to announce Milin Jayaraman as our Elite Athlete of the Month for May, 2025!  Keep getting after it and making us proud!
